International Mathematics Olympiad Result 2015

The Science Olympiad Foundation conducted International Mathematics Olympiad on November 26, 2015 & December 10, 2015 and its result is expected to be declared in January 2016. On the basis of the Stage 1 result, selection of the candidates for stage 2 will be done. The schedule of Stage 2 will be announced after the declaration of Stage 1 Result tentatively by the end of January 2016.

Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is a non-profit educational organisation, which promotes Introductory Computer Education, English, Science and Mathematics not only in India but also in foreign countries like Qatar, Singapore, Oman, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Durban, and U.A.E. SOF conducts the following Olympiad examinations:

·         National Cyber Olympiad (NCO)
·         National Science Olympiad (NSO)
·         International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)
·         International English Olympiad (IEO)

These Olympiad examinations aim to identify and encourage the creativity of children in schools across India and abroad. By the means of Olympiad examinations student can get an idea of their personal standing in his/her age group.

In this article we will inform our readers about some important points related to IMO Results and further processes:

·         Checking IMO Result:

o   IMO Result will be published on the official website of Science Olympiad Foundation.
o   Students can check their result by entering their Roll No. in the below given format: < School Code>-<Class>-<Roll No.> e.g. AN0001-04-001.
o   SOF will not send any separate result and the same online result will stand valid for future references.

·         Analysis offered: Once the IMO Stage 1 examination is over candidates will be provided with the following analysis:

o   Each participating student will get a Student Performance Report (SPR).
o   The SPR will have a detailed analysis of how the student attempted the 1st level Olympiad exam.
o   The SPR offers an insight of the strengths and weaknesses of the student. It will highlight the areas requiring improvement in absolute terms.

·         Analysis offered for the School: After the examination, complete analysis of the performance of the students from the school will be offered and that will have the following:

o   Part A: Details of class/student wise marks and ranks achieved by students at city, state and international level.
o   Part B: Details of topic wise average school performance and comparison with other schools with standard deviation at school and international level.
o   Part C: Gives average performance comparison of marks obtained by students of a school versus marks scored by other students at the state and at international level.
o   Part D: Gives an in depth, section wise comparison of the performance of students of a school versus students at the state and international level.

·         Qualification criteria for Stage 2: In order to be considered for the IMO Stage 2 examination, the following criteria are to be met:

o   Top 10 rank Holders, State wise & Class wise.
o   Top 5% of students, class wise, who appeared for the 1st level Olympiad.
o   Class topper, where 10 or more students from a class appeared for the IMO and scored marks above 50%.
